Online dating has become the most popular way to meet a potential mate.  And lets be honest here, the first thing that attracts the attention of said potential mate are your pictures.  So why do people put so little effort into putting up their “best face forward” in online profiles?  This has always boggled my mind.

Having been in this online dating mess of a world, I know first hand how many horrible pictures are out there.  Selfies in a dirty bathroom, piles of laundry strewn on the bed behind you, group pictures where you get to play where’s Waldo?  And don’t even get me started with the shirtless photos, grainy pictures, out of focus pictures, wearing sunglasses and hats, I could go on and on but you get the idea.

If your goal is to actually get more dates and meet a partner you need to put in the effort.  First impressions are key.  You wouldn’t show up on a first date looking half put together, nor should your online dating photos be.  In this world of “window shopping” you want to stand out in the crowd.   Whether we want to admit it or not you need to sell yourself and it all starts with your photos!
