This is where I spill the tea, share real stories, feature amazing humans, and give you a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to step in front of my camera.. Dive in. It’s way more fun than doom-scrolling Instagram.

Figuring out what to wear for senior pictures is usually the first thing that stresses people out about booking a session, more than the photos themselves. The good news is there are a few simple rules that make outfit planning much easier, and most of them have nothing to do with owning anything fancy or new.
Plan for 3 to 4 outfits that each show a different side of you: one dressier look, one casual everyday look, one trendy piece you love, and one that reflects a hobby or interest, like a sport, instrument, or activity.
Rich, saturated colors like burgundy, navy, emerald, and cobalt tend to photograph beautifully, along with classic neutrals like black, white, and cream, while neon shades and anything close to your skin tone are worth skipping.
Skip pinstripes and tight geometric patterns since they can create a distortion effect in photos, and steer clear of large logos, graphics, or band names, which compete with your face and tend to date the photos quickly.
Bring 3 to 4 outfits and do not worry about matching friends or siblings who are also getting photos taken, since the whole point of your session is capturing your own personality, not a coordinated group look.
Outfit changes are built into every package: 2 changes with the Petite session, up to 4 with the Classic session, and 4 to 5 with the Signature session.
The most common mistake is bringing clothing that does not actually fit well, whether it is too big or too tight, since properly fitted pieces photograph far better than anything trendy or expensive.
Wrinkled clothing and transition lenses on glasses are two other easy fixes that make a bigger difference than people expect.
Yes, it helps to think about where you are shooting. A busy natural backdrop like a field or garden calls for simpler colors, while a clean coastal or architectural backdrop gives you more room to play with bold colors or patterns.
Every senior session includes a planning meeting where wardrobe gets talked through one on one, so you never have to guess alone. Ready to get started?
