Who can resist those little button fingers and toes, the sleepy eyes, and baby bellies? The opportunity to preserve these tiny features in the lens of my camera never ceases to delight and surprise me.
Today, I’ll be taking a look at the singularly special bond that connects parents and their newborns. Recently, I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph this beautiful couple and their newborn baby. I was thrilled with some of the precious moments I was able to capture.
Here, we see daddy playfully doting over his baby girl. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from years of newborn photo shoots it’s that a newborn baby can turn even the most hardened, grizzled sailors into soft-hearted teddy bears. By the looks of it, this little miss has already got dad firmly wrapped around her little finger.
In this photo, mom and dad lovingly cradle their heavy-eyed child while she catches a nap in dad’s arms. Looking back at these photos, I can’t help but wonder what the future has in store for this lovely family.
No newborn shoot would be complete without a photo of mother and child. Together, these two are a vision of contentedness. This mother’s unconditional love for her child is written all over her face. Baby, as per usual, is just happy to while away the hours sleeping in mom’s embrace. I don’t think this little lady will ever suffer from a lack of love.
